Super Bowl 2019: How to stream New England Patriots vs Los Angeles online, TV channel info, UK kick-off time

The New England Patriots meet the Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl 53 on Sunday.

The best two American football teams on the planet meet for the right to be called world champions and, of course, to get the chance to lift the famous Vince Lombardi Trophy. New England have been here 10 times before and in four of the last five years thanks to Hall of Fame quarterback Tom Brady. But don’t count out the Rams with wonderkid coach Sean McVay the youngest to ever grace the NFL’s biggest game and sure to have a plan or two up his sleeve.

It’s not all about the football either with the halftime show a thing of legend. Maroon 5 are this year’s chosen musical act where there’ll be joined by a number of special guests including Travis Scott and Big Boi. You can expect more than a few surprises as ever, of course.

Don’t forget to keep an eye out for the adverts too with 30 seconds of airtime running into the millions of dollars to secure.

Here’s everything you need to know:

What time is kick-off in the UK?

The fun and games all begin on Sunday at 11:30pm GMT, following a lengthy coin toss and an even lengthier rendition of the Star Spangled Banner. Hold on to your hats.

What channel is the game on?

Fans in the UK can catch the game on BBC One from 10.45pm or alternatively can opt for Sky Sports’ coverage which is scheduled for the Main Event channel from 10pm.

What if I’m not a current subscriber?

You can watch remotely on your mobile device as a one-off by using Now TV to stream Sky Sports’ coverage. Click here to sign up to a day pass.

Can I stream it online?

You can indeed, either via BBC iPlayer, the BBC Sport website and mobile app or on Sky Go. You can also watch the game for absolutely nothing via the NFL’s official app available on the App Store and Google Play.

Who’s commentating?

With this year’s broadcast coming via CBS that means it’ll be Jim Nantz, Tony Romo and Tracy Wolfson in the commentary box and on the sidelines guiding you through for the duration.

Who’s going to win?

That’s the million dollar question, of course. This is what the bookmakers think, in any case.

New England Patriots 10/13

Los Angeles Rams: 23/20
